Sean is a local entrepreneur and wine expert. He began his career at GE, getting the chance to work all around the United States and Europe. After several years with the GE team, he decided to follow his passion and opened the Hinsdale Wine Shop in 2003, a retail outlet for premium wines.
In 2005, Sean expanded his business to open The Cellar Door in Downers Grove, a quaint wine bar with an eclectic menu of wine-friendly offerings: from traditional cheeses, charcuterie and duck pâté to more contemporary items like banh mi, BBQ chicken flatbread or wild mushroom grilled cheese.
Most recently – in 2015 – his expanding business added on Stateside Beverage, exporting and introducing finest American craft beers and wines to Western Europe. Through his work, Sean has been able to combine his passion for travel and share some of his favorite artisanal wines and craft beers he has encountered along the way.
